Porta potty rental questions, answered

These 32 answers cover the six things renters ask about most: delivery timing, prices and billing, choosing a unit, cleaning, placement, and pickup or cancellation. For full price ranges, see the porta potty rental cost guide; for headcounts, try the porta potty calculator.

Delivery and timing

How much notice do you need to rent a porta potty?

Most orders need one business day. Same-day delivery works when you call by 12 PM Monday through Saturday. Book 1 to 2 weeks ahead for holiday weekends, May graduations and fall football Saturdays, and months ahead for wedding restroom trailers.

Can you drop it off Saturday morning and pick it up Sunday night?

Trucks do not run Sunday, so weekend event units arrive Friday or Saturday and leave Monday. The event price is the same, and the extra days cost nothing.

What time will the truck arrive?

Deliveries run 7 AM to 7 PM. Most arrive by mid-afternoon. Exact times are not guaranteed, but the driver calls or texts 20 to 30 minutes ahead, and you can request a morning drop.

Can you deliver to a park, church lot or a lot with no address?

Send the park or church name, nearest cross streets or a map pin, and a photo of the spot. Rural land and new subdivisions without house numbers get the same delivery.

What if the truck breaks down on my delivery day?

If a truck or driver problem delays a delivery, we call you right away with the next available time and move your unit to the first open route.

Will you deliver on the 4th of July?

Trucks do not run on the holiday itself. July 4th units are delivered 1 to 3 days early and picked up the next business day. Holiday weekends sell out, so book early.

Prices, payment and billing

Why do you need my ZIP code to give a price?

Delivery distance is part of the price. A ZIP or address lets us quote the exact delivery line instead of a guess.

What is included in the price?

Event prices include the unit, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, delivery, setup and pickup. 28-day prices include the unit plus 4 weekly services. Delivery on 28-day rentals is a one-time line on the first invoice.

Why is the first invoice higher than the next ones?

The first 28-day invoice includes the one-time delivery charge. Later cycles are just the rental and weekly service.

If I return it early, am I charged for the whole cycle?

The current 28-day cycle is billed in full, but nothing after pickup is charged. Rentals of a week or less are priced at a short-term rate instead.

Do you take cash or checks?

Payment is by credit or debit card through a secure texted or emailed link. Drivers do not collect payment. Business accounts can ask about invoice terms.

Can someone else pay for my rental?

The invoice can be sent to anyone's email or phone, such as a church treasurer, a parent or a general contractor.

Can you email a quote I can show my boss or committee?

Every quote can be texted or emailed as an itemized PDF with your project or event name on it.

Do prices go up closer to the date?

Our price does not change because a date is close. Availability does, especially on holiday weekends, so early booking secures the unit you want.

Choosing a unit

What is inside a standard porta potty?

A toilet seat with lid, a urinal, 2 rolls of toilet paper, a hand sanitizer dispenser, a vent stack, a coat hook and an occupancy latch.

Is a deluxe unit worth it over a standard plus a hand wash station?

For guests who expect a sink inside, the deluxe unit is worth it. For job sites and casual parties, a standard unit plus a shared hand wash station often costs less and serves more people.

Do you have heated or air-conditioned restrooms?

Only restroom trailers have climate control. Standard and deluxe units are not heated or cooled.

Can I get a restroom trailer for a small budget?

A deluxe flushing unit is the budget alternative to a trailer: it has a flush and a sink but needs no water or power.

Do you rent dumpsters, tents or fencing?

We focus on portable restrooms and hand wash stations. For dumpsters or tents, ask your event rental or roll-off company.

Cleaning and servicing

Does an event unit get cleaned during the party?

Event units arrive cleaned and fully stocked and are pumped and cleaned at pickup. A mid-event refresh visit can be added for long or multi-day events.

Can I skip weekly service to save money?

Weekly service is what keeps a long-term unit usable and odor-controlled, so it is included on every 28-day rental.

Do you pump out porta potties or RV tanks we own?

Pump-out of customer-owned units and holding tanks is quoted case by case, depending on location and route. Call with the tank size and access details.

Our current company has not cleaned the unit in weeks. Can you take over?

Switching is simple. We deliver a clean unit on your chosen day, and you call your old company to remove theirs. Weekly service starts the following week.

Placement and access

How close does the truck need to get?

Within about 30 feet of the spot, on a path at least 4 feet wide with no parked cars, low wires or branches in the way.

Can the porta potty go in my backyard?

Backyard placement works when the gate is at least 4 feet wide and the path is level. Steps, steep slopes or narrow side yards may require the driveway.

Can I pick up the porta potty myself with my trailer?

Units are delivered and picked up by our crew only. Moving them yourself risks spills and damage.

A neighbor's job site toilet is in front of my house. Can it be moved?

Ask the builder or the company named on the unit's door sticker. Do not move it yourself, since a full unit can tip and spill.

Who is responsible if the unit tips over?

Call us so we can clean and replace it. Storm tip-overs and normal-use problems are handled by our crew; vandalism or equipment damage may be billed.

Pickup, extensions and cancellations

Do I need to call for pickup?

Event units have a set pickup date. Job site and remodel units stay until you call or text for pickup, so they never leave before the work is done.

Can I extend my rental?

Long-term rentals roll into the next 28-day cycle automatically. To extend an event rental, call before the scheduled pickup day.

Can I change my order after booking?

Units can be added, swapped or rescheduled up to 24 hours before delivery, subject to availability.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel at least 24 hours before delivery for a full refund. See the rental terms for details.
